Student Policy & Regulations

All students are required to sign the Saifi Student Policy before starting a course and to adhere to it for the duration of their presence in class, on campus, or at any Saifi event. By signing, the student acknowledges that this policy applies to every class or private lesson they attend at the Saifi Institute.

1. Code of Conduct

This section applies to all students, in group classes, private lessons, on campus, and at Saifi-organized events.

  • Rude or disruptive behavior toward a teacher, fellow student, or staff member is not permitted in class, during school activities, or on campus. This includes, but is not limited to: cursing, offensive language, inappropriate political commentary, and use of a cell phone during class.
  • A student will receive two warnings (verbal or written, at the instructor’s or administration’s discretion) before being expelled from the course. No tuition fees will be refunded following an expulsion.
  • Eating is not permitted in class, including snacks and chewing gum. Hot and cold drinks are permitted, provided the student cleans up after themselves before leaving the classroom.
  • Students are expected to arrive on time. Repeated late arrival to class may be addressed under the warnings process above.
  • Photographs or videos may be taken during classes or events for Saifi’s internal records and promotional use (e.g., website, social media). Students who do not wish to be photographed must notify the administration in writing before the course begins.

2. Attendance, Progression & Certificates

  • Students who miss one class are responsible for asking their teacher for the missed lesson content and homework, and for studying the material independently to catch up. Students who miss more than two classes are required to book private lessons to catch up with their group class. Students who miss more than 25% of scheduled group class sessions, and/or fail the final exam, will not be eligible for a certificate and will not be permitted to progress to a higher level without retaking the class, in a group or privately.
  • If a student misses a group class for any reason, that class will not be refunded or rescheduled.
  • If the Saifi Institute cancels a group class, it will be rescheduled — normally made up at the end of the term during registration week — and students will be informed ahead of time.
  • One hour of tuition at Saifi consists of 55 minutes of teaching. This applies to both private and group classes.
  • Certificates are issued upon request to students who receive a passing grade on the final exam.
  • A minimum enrollment of three students is required for a group class to run. If a student registers for an intensive or regular group course and is the only student enrolled, Saifi will automatically convert the course into private lessons, with fees adjusted accordingly. Saifi will confirm this change with the student in advance and proceed only with the student’s agreement.

3. Group Classes — Payment & Refunds

  • Tuition fees and study materials must be paid in full no later than the first day of the class session. Students who fail to pay their tuition will not be permitted to join the class.
  • Cancellations made 45 or more days before the start of a course receive a full refund, minus a 15% processing fee.
  • Cancellations made 10–44 days before the start of a course receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 10 days before the start of a course, or after the course has started, are not eligible for a refund.
  • Class credits cannot be exchanged for private tuition credit.

4. Private Lessons — Payment & Refunds

  • Private lesson fees must be paid before the start of the lessons. Students who do not pay in advance will not be permitted into class.
  • Private lessons can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Same-day cancellations are not refunded or rescheduled.
  • Students wishing to change or cancel a private lesson must notify the school administration at least 24 hours in advance. Schedules are organized by the administration; students should not arrange changes directly with the instructor.
  • Saifi cannot always guarantee requests for a specific teacher; however, if a request is made at the time of registration, every effort will be made to accommodate it.
  • Cancellations made 30 or more days before the start of scheduled private lessons receive a full refund, minus a 15% processing fee.
  • Cancellations made 10–29 days before the start of scheduled private lessons receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 10 days before the start of scheduled private lessons, or after the lessons have started, are not eligible for a refund.

5. General Provisions

  • Students under 18 years of age must have this policy signed by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf.
  • Students must keep all receipts and invoices, as these serve as proof of payment and are required to process any eligible refund.
  • The version of this Student Policy in effect at the time of a student’s registration governs that student’s course, even if the policy is later updated.

Acknowledgement. By enrolling in a course or private lesson, a student (or a parent/legal guardian, for students under 18) confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to this Student Policy. A signed copy is completed as part of the in-person or digital registration process.
